What is there to do in and around Aurora ?

There are many attractions and activities that
are easily accessible from the Herman Leive House.

Local Activities
The Dillsboro Homecoming Festival takes place early in the month of May.
Dillsboro is only a 15 minute drive from the inn.

In mid to late June, the Dearborn Co. 4-H and Community Fair takes place
at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds and is a ten minute drive from the Inn.

July 4th brings the Aurora Firecracker Festival which is within walking distance from the inn.

The Roar of Thunder Regatta occurs in late August and takes place on the Ohio River
at Lesko Park.  This is within walking distance from the inn.

The Aurora Farmer's Fair comes to Aurora during the first weekend in October.
This fair is Indiana's oldest and takes place on the streets of Aurora.
Again, this is within walking distance from the inn.

You can also visit Hillforest National Historic Landmark, Victorian House Museum,
which is only a one block walk from the inn.

Local Attractions
Other attractions are within a short drive from the inn.
These include professional baseball and football in Cincinnati with the Reds and Bengals,

and Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg, and Old Metamora, near Brookville.
Additionally, you can enjoy winter skiing at Perfect North Slopes
or other outdoor activities at Indiana State Parks and Reservoirs such as
Versailles State Park, Brookville Lake, and Whitewater Memorial State Park.
